Freedom in Christ for You
When Stephen found his freedom in Christ, it liberated him from all bondages. What a freeing thing, to know that Jesus truly has set the captives free!
When you’re free in Christ, God can use your life in supernatural ways, just like He did through Stephen.
“And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and signs among the people.”
(Acts 6:8)
This is what I found
Earlier in my life with the Lord, He started to show me how I’ve been forgiven and set free.
My heart and mind used to be in so much turmoil and constant chaos! I would let the dumbest and smallest things upset me and throw my emotions off. (I still do at times)
At more than a couple occasions, I actually thought I was going insane because I couldn’t control my thoughts. I felt like a prisoner within my own mind.
I had an excessive amount of fears and my thoughts held me captive. My mind was losing it! Since then, God has healed me in miraculous and wonderful ways. And a mind set free can be used by God to do wonders.
No more bondage in worldly thoughts! Having freedom in Christ is so much better.
For me, maybe it’s not big things like with Stephen but it’s still the miraculous ways that God moves in our lives.
I’m still learning, and even learning to have grace with myself. Sometimes, that’s the tougher part.
But I do find that with my freedom in Christ, my heart and mind have never been more at peace.
In fact, like God tells us, He gives us “the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding.” (Philippians 4:7)
I wouldn’t trade this freedom in Christ for anything now.
Stephen was attacked by enslaved “Freedmen”
In Acts 6:8-7:60, we see Stephen being attacked by men from the Synagogue of the Freedmen (Acts 6:9).
It’s ironic that Stephen was the only one who was truly free, while the “Freedmen” were the ones still enslaved to sin, satan and manmade religion.
We must be careful to protect our freedom in Christ, and not allow others to put manmade chains on our hearts and minds.
“And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” (John 8:32)

How can you get freedom in Christ right now?
To truly let Jesus set you free, you need to confess to God that you’re a sinner. All of us have sinned. Nobody but God is perfect.
Believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins and rose from the dead.
Turn away from your sins and invite God into your life.
Trust Him. Follow Him daily!
9that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
10For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
11For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.”
12For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him.
13For “whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.”
(Romans 10:9-13)
