Scattered

Missionaries are Scattered

Missionaries are Scattered

Scattered

If you were to take corn seeds and scatter them around.

Then add water.

In a couple of weeks, they should start to germinate and grow where they’re planted.

Every Christian is like a seed ~ all Christians can be missionaries

In a similar way, each Christian is like a seed.

All Christians have a chance to be missionaries.

And when Christians are scattered because of persecution, God can and will use it to spread the Gospel!

So if persecution were to attack you and scatter you abroad.

Pray that the Holy Spirit, like water, would nourish you. Pray that God’s Word would grow you and mature you.

Then, in a matter of time, you should be able to blossom wherever persecution has scattered you to.

We should also be able to bloom where we are planted!

This is what we see happening in Acts chapter 8.

1Now Saul was consenting to his death. At that time a great persecution arose against the church which was at Jerusalem; and they were all scattered throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria, except the apostles.

2And devout men carried Stephen to his burial, and made great lamentation over him.

3As for Saul, he made havoc of the church, entering every house, and dragging off men and women, committing them to prison.

4Therefore those who were scattered went everywhere preaching the word.

It’s all a matter of perspective

One way that the Church multiplies is through proactively doing Church Missions and Church Planting.

Yet another way that the Church can multiply is through Church Persecution!

This is because it can indirectly create Church Missions and Church Planting!

So don’t fear the persecution. Instead, have faith in God.

God wants to use any situation you are in right now, to cause you to draw near to Him.

Get closer to the Lord and stay close to Him! He will never leave you nor forsake you.

The Lord will never let you down!
