Scriptures on Peace – What You Need to Know
Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you ; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
(John 14:27)
Did you know that Jesus wants to give you His peace?
Now, I don’t know about you, but that’s extremely comforting for me to hear and to know!
As a result of Jesus giving you His peace, He doesn’t want your heart to be troubled or afraid.
The Peace of God is the antidote for your anxiety
6Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;
7and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
(Philippians 4:6-7)
Did you know that the peace of God is the antidote for your anxiety?
It can be the exact answer for when you’re anxious!
First, come to the Lord with your worries and woes.
This means that you shouldn’t try to hold onto your anxieties all by yourself. You can’t do life on your own!
Secondly, come to Him “with thanksgiving” in your prayers.
What this means is that you must come to the Lord with an attitude of gratitude. Not only your complaints!
Tell Him what you’re thankful for in your life.
You’ll notice your heart and mind become less stressed as you “count your blessings” as many of our parents would say.
Thirdly, pray to your Heavenly Father and seek Him to supply your needs.
Lastly, as a result of coming to Him daily, He gives you His peace and lessens your anxiety. This is what He wants.
Ask God for His help
So in conclusion, pray to the Lord and ask Him to give you His Peace that passes understanding.
Bring your worries to Him and leave them in His capable care.
Let Him exchange an anxious heart for a heart with His peace.
Remember, there’s always help, hope and healing with God!
