👍 As we discuss STAYING IN FELLOWSHIP WITH ONE ANOTHER – WE NEED TO KNOW THAT Staying in fellowship is a CONCLUSION after knowing what CHRIST CONQUERED and CREATED for you in this New COVENANT.

👍 In Hebrews 1:1 to Hebrews 10:18 the writing is mainly DOCTRINAL to prove that Jesus is so much greater than everyone and everything.

✔️ The writer of Hebrews is building up a case.

👍 Hebrews 10:19 to Hebrews 13:25 is the APPLICATIONAL portion of the book.

✔️ This section is basically saying that because Jesus is so much greater, you must now therefore do these things.

——– THE FIRST 8 CHAPTERS IN HEBREWS CAN BE SUMMED UP AS ——–

✔️ In these Last Days, God speaks to us through Jesus.

——– THIS JESUS IS ——–

👉 God
👉 Heir to inherit all things

💥 Jesus is Creator of all things (Hebrews 1:2)

💪 Jesus sustains all things (Hebrews 1:3)

💥 Jesus purged our sins by Himself then sat at the right hand of the Father (Hebrews 1:3)

👉 so much better than angels
👉 so much better than Moses
💪 so much better than Joshua
👉 so much better than Abraham

——– THE PRIESTHOOD OF JESUS IS A MUCH BETTER PRIESTHOOD ——–

👉 This priesthood is so much better than the Levitical priesthood that the Jews had
💪 Jesus obtains His priesthood from Melchizedek
👉 Jesus has a much better priesthood than the high priests
💪 Jesus is our Great High Priest
💪 Jesus has an Eternal Priesthood

——– JESUS CREATED A NEW COVENANT WHEN HE DIED FOR OUR SINS ——–

👉 This New Covenant is so much better than the Old Covenant in many ways

——– IN THE NEW COVENANT GOD REMEMBERS YOUR SINS NO MORE! ——–

👉 Under the Old Covenant your sins are never taken away
👉 Under the Old Covenant your sins are only covered; “Yom Kippur” means “the day of covering” indicating your sins are only covered.
👉 Under the Old Covenant you are reminded of your sins every year during the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur)
👉 Under the Old Covenant you are constantly reminded of your sins every day

——– IN HEBREWS 9 – WE LEARN ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED ON THE DAY OF ATONEMENT ——–

👉 The high priest entered into the Holy of Holies
✔️ The Holy of Holies was the place of the Presence of God
✔️ Everything about the Holy of Holies said:
👉 “stay away” and “keep out”
👉 It would communicate: “You’re not good enough” – “You’re not holy enough”

——– TO GET INTO THE HOLY OF HOLIES ——–

You had to be Jewish.
You had to be of the tribe of Levi.
The person could only be a man.
You had to be a priest.
Only 1 priest – of all the priests only 1 priest could be high priest.
In 1 place – the high priest alone could enter into the Holy of Holies. This was the place of the presence of God.
Only 1 day – the Day of Atonement.

——– THEREFORE, BECAUSE CHRIST CREATED THE NEW COVENANT, MAKING IT EASY FOR US TO ENTER INTO THE PRESENCE OF GOD ——–
