Jesus Has Power to Forgive Sins
Romans 3:20 says “…for by the law is the knowledge of sin.”
Romans 7:7 further states “…I would not have known sin except through the law. For I would not have known covetousness unless the law had said, “You shall not covet.” ”
Only God’s Word defines what is “sin.”
God’s Word also teaches us that “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).
When we have sinned, our sin truly is against God, who defines this in His Word. Jesus addresses this with the paralyzed man who was brought to Him. Although the man needed a physical healing, he had a greater need; an eternal need. He needed God’s forgiveness for his sins. You do too!
