Boldness to Speak God’s Word

Satan’s strategy of fear

In these Last Days that we currently live in, we must pray for God to grant us boldness to speak His Word!

Satan always uses his strategy of fear – manipulated through human vessels – to try to stop the mouths of born again Christians from sharing God’s Word.

Why would the enemy use this tactic?

Because fear works.

Chances are satan has used it successfully in your life. But there’s hope!

America’s current landscape

In and around March 2020, many “megachurches” in America shut down because of Governmental mandates.

All of the other Christian churches, including ours, had to also close down for local church gatherings.

Yet, 10 months later – in January, 2021 – many of the megachurches have still never opened back up their church buildings for in-person, onsite fellowship.

Our local situation

Here’s a local example for us New Yorkers.

New York City is America’s largest city, and yet literally every single one of NYC’s megachurches are still closed!

That’s 10 months with no real fellowship for what’s reportedly around 76,000 congregants just for the NYC megachurch crowd.

10 months!

As in roughly 300 days without any real in-person, onsite fellowship, worship, Bible teaching, prayer and Communion.

God’s SOLUTION

but if I am delayed, I write so that you may know how you ought to conduct yourself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.
(1 Timothy 3:15)

One thing that God uses to define His church, is that His church is “the pillar and ground of the truth” (1 Timothy 3:15).

This truth is found in God’s Word of Truth, the Bible.

God’s Truth must be spoken, taught, preached, seen, exemplified.

People need God’s Truth, and churches need to open up so hurt, hungry people can come in to get fed God’s Word. But many simply have more fear than boldness.

In these Last Days, much is already about a battle for the Bible.

In fact, the book of Revelation prophesies that the 5th Seal will be opened by Jesus during the Great Tribulation.

This 5th Seal reveals those “who had been slain for the word of God and for the testimony which they held.” (Revelation 6:9)

Yes, people will be killed – as in decapitated – because of the Bible. We’ll see this unfold as we study the book of Revelation on Wednesdays.

And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.
(Acts 4:31)

God’s Solution is that His Church would pray for Boldness to speak God’s Word!

That the places where we are assembled together would be “shaken.”

That we would be “all filled with the Holy Spirit.”

That we would be empowered to speak “the word of God with boldness.”

Let’s pray for our church and the pastors and churches around us!
