Infirmities

The Apostle Paul shares a powerful lesson on boasting in our weaknesses. Paul endured pains, persecutions, and a “thorn in the flesh.” But instead of pretending to be proud and strong, he declares, “Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me” (2 Corinthians 12:9).

God’s plan is that our weaknesses aren’t spiritual failures—they’re opportunities to tap into God’s strength and grace. When facing trials, we too can trust the Lord’s promise: “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.”

True Christian strength doesn’t come through a self‑reliance. Christian maturity comes as we surrender to a complete dependence upon God and His grace.

The world promotes power and success. But Paul’s example reminds us that God chooses to reward and empower those who remain humble, fully dependent upon the grace of God.
